    Purposeful Reminder!

I captured this beautiful picture of bees working their magic on some purple wild flowers in the field while out for a walk over my lunch break. It was a simple reminder, as I constantly question my purpose, that God has a purpose for everything, even bees.

    Super Moon 2016

Scientists estimate that tonight’s supermoon will be the closest full moon until 2034. Ry and I were discussing the fact that we will be 29 and 57 when the opportunity arises again to see the moon so close and decided to go out tonight with my camera to try to capture it. I used my 55-250 zoom lens and messed with the shutter/aperture settings to try and capture the details. With a little bit of cropping, the photos in this post are the result. It amazes me that someone actually walked up there and was probably looking down on the earth in awe just as we are admiring the vastness of…

    Ireland (Countryside)

This portion of our trip to Ireland was my absolute favorite. I enjoyed the cities and harbor but I felt most at home when touring the Irish countryside. We took a train to Killarney and a horse drawn buggy tour through the Killarney National Park where we were able to see the Ross Castle. The next day, we took a bus tour through the Ring of Kerry on very narrow streets, saw the sites of the coast and stopped for traditional Shepherd’s pie and of course a mug of Irish coffee. At the end of our trip, we were driven up the coast to see the Cliffs of Moher and eventually…

    Ireland (City)

To celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary, we took a locally hosted rail tour through Ireland where we visited Dublin, Cork, Kinsale, Killarney and County Clare, Ireland. It was amazing to spend the week adventuring with my husband via plane, train, bus, car, horse buggy, boat and foot. We ate some amazing pub food and topped the trip off with a 5-course dinner at the Dromoland Castle. The photos in this album are some of the amazing sites we photographed in the cities of Ireland. You can see some countryside and harbor photographs in my other Ireland albums found on the Photo Adventures page. Location: Dublin and Cork Ireland

A Day at the Pittsburgh Zoo

I snapped these pictures at my company summer picnic at the Pittsburgh Zoo. I mainly used my telephoto zoom lens which allowed me the opportunity to really zoom in on some details of the animals. My favorite photo is of the lion. It is so beautiful yet terrifying at the same time the magnificence of this animal. Really glad I was standing far away ?

    Washington DC Cherry Blossoms

The cherry blossoms were in full bloom in the early spring in Washington DC. It was a beautiful sight with the colorful, aromatic flowers budding on the trees along the Tidal Basin and throughout the DC area. This was definitely a must see on my bucket list and I am so grateful that we were able to see them in person. The last two photos were taken by my son. He has an amazing eye to capture the beauty in things. I definitely have added experiencing the sight of the cherry blossoms in Osaka, Japan in the future 🙂
